Avandia® (rosiglitazone) is a drug used to help treat type 2 diabetes by controlling blood sugar levels. The drug is manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline. Avandia has been linked to serious cardiovascular events, including; heart attacks, heart failure and myocardial ischemia.
