Levaquin (levofloxacin) is a drug manufactured by Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceuticals. It is an anti-infective and part of the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics (similar to Cipro, Uroflox and Tequin (now off the market)). Levaquin is commonly prescribed for sinus, bladder and lung infections and other serious bacterial illnesses. Levaquin has been associated with severe and painful tendon injuries and ruptures.
